Hightower announced the appointment of Roberto Stewart as President and Chief Business Officer, reinforcing its leadership team as the firm continues to expand its wealth management platform.
Stewart will lead enterprise services and play a central role in advancing Hightower One, the firm’s integrated back- and middle-office platform. His mandate includes simplifying advisor engagement, reducing operational complexity, and strengthening the infrastructure that supports advisor growth and client service.
In this role, Stewart will oversee operations, technology, risk, product, project management, and integrations, with a focus on aligning platform capabilities to better serve advisors and their clients. The appointment reflects Hightower’s broader strategy to enhance its platform and support its growing national network of advisors.
Stewart brings more than three decades of leadership experience across financial services and consulting. He joins Hightower from Engle Martin, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and led enterprise operations across a global, multi-entity platform. His experience includes integrating acquisitions, scaling operations, and building infrastructure to improve productivity and efficiency.
Previously, Stewart held senior leadership roles at American International Group, where he led global administration and client services functions, including within its high-net-worth Private Client Group. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at McKinsey & Company and Allstate.
The appointment comes as Hightower continues investing in its platform and leadership to support its dual growth model, which includes both direct partnerships and its Hightower Signature Wealth channel.
As part of the leadership transition, Gurinder Ahluwalia, who previously served as Interim President, will remain involved as an advisor and continue serving on the company’s Board of Directors.
Hightower, headquartered in Chicago, provides investment, financial planning, and retirement services to individuals, families, and institutions, while also supporting independent advisors with a national platform designed to help scale their businesses.
