Hillman Solutions: Acquisition Of Campbell Chain & Fittings To Add Over $20 Million In 2026 Sales

By Amit Chowdhry • Apr 7, 2026

Hillman Solutions, a provider of hardware products and merchandising solutions, announced the acquisition of the Campbell Chain & Fittings business from Apex Tool Group, LLC, expanding its presence in the industrial maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) market.

The acquisition strengthens Hillman’s capabilities in the chain category by adding U.S.-based manufacturing and broadening its product portfolio to include commercial and industrial-grade offerings such as grade 70, grade 80, and grade 100 chain. The deal also builds on Hillman’s earlier entry into the chain segment following its 2024 acquisition of Koch Industries.

Founded in 1919, Campbell Chain & Fittings has a long-standing reputation as a manufacturer and supplier of chain and related products. Its offerings include welded and weldless chain, forged fittings, overhead lifting products, and lifting clamps. The company serves a wide range of end markets including agriculture, forestry, government, industrial, marine, and material handling sectors across the United States and Canada.

Hillman expects the acquisition to contribute more than $20 million in net sales during its 2026 fiscal year. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The move aligns with Hillman’s strategy to expand its footprint in the industrial MRO sector, which the company has identified as a key area for future growth. By integrating Campbell’s manufacturing capabilities and customer base, Hillman aims to enhance its offering to commercial and industrial customers while diversifying its revenue streams.

Campbell operates manufacturing facilities in York, Pennsylvania, and Sumter, South Carolina, and has been part of Apex Tool Group, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of professional hand and power tools.

Hillman, headquartered in Cincinnati and founded in 1964, provides a wide range of products including fasteners, hardware, project supplies, and key duplication services. The company serves retail, professional distribution, and industrial customers across North America and maintains a large field sales organization along with direct-to-store distribution capabilities.
