Martha Stewart, home services executive Yih-Han Ma, and AI entrepreneur Kyle Rush announced the launch of Hint, a new home management company combining human expertise and artificial intelligence to help homeowners manage and optimize their properties.

The company launched alongside a $10 million seed financing round led by Slow Ventures, with participation from Montauk Capital, Tusk Venture Partners, Amplo, Energy Impact Partners, Hannah Grey VC, and Brian Kelly.

Hint describes itself as an always-on, AI-native home management platform designed to help homeowners proactively manage their homes through a single digital interface. The company said the platform combines expert guidance with home intelligence data to deliver personalized recommendations, cost-saving insights, maintenance planning, and real-time monitoring.

The company plans to launch later in summer 2026 on desktop and iOS platforms. According to Hint, the platform is intended to help homeowners make more informed decisions regarding maintenance, upgrades, costs, and long-term home value by replacing reactive homeownership management with proactive planning and guidance.

Martha Stewart said the company builds on her decades of experience in home, lifestyle, and design expertise developed through television, publishing, and consumer products.

The founding leadership team also includes executives with backgrounds in home services, AI, digital media, and e-commerce. Yih-Han Ma previously built and led home services brands within Red Ventures, while Kyle Rush previously held engineering leadership roles at Casper. Additional members of the founding team include Andrew Serafin, Isaiah Sawhney, and Joe Guglielmi.

The company said its mission is to make homeownership more affordable and less fragmented by acting as a consumer-first advocate throughout the homeownership journey.

KEY QUOTES:

“I have always been passionate about showing people how to care for and beautify their homes. Hint brings that philosophy to more people, making the knowledge and expertise behind thoughtful homeownership accessible to everyone. Empowering people to make their home a place they love and one of their smartest investments is core to Hint.”

Martha Stewart

“For too long, homeowners have been left to figure it out on their own, overwhelmed and worried they’ll be taken advantage of, and leaving real money on the table. Our mission is to act in the best interest of the homeowner, bringing clarity, confidence, and credibility to every decision. With Hint, we take the world’s leading home experts and employ AI to deliver highly personalized insights and continuous, real-time monitoring at scale, helping people make smarter decisions and stay ahead.”

Yih-Han Ma, Co-Founder And CEO, Hint

“The conditions for Hint have been years in the making. Homeowners aren’t losing money due to bad decisions, but because of the lack of trusted guidance. The gap between what people are spending and what they should be spending is enormous, and nobody has been fighting on their side. This team is changing that, and that kind of clarity at the earliest stage is exactly what we look for.”

Kevin Colleran, Co-Founder And Managing Director, Slow Ventures

“We see Hint as a defining platform for the next era of homeownership, one where intelligence replaces guesswork. Martha and Yih-Han have the consumer trust, domain expertise, and technical vision to change that. We’re proud to back them.”

Philip Krim, Co-Founder And CEO, Montauk Capital

“I’m excited for Hint to revolutionize how people manage, save money, and increase the value of their biggest investment, the home. I’ve spent my career helping consumers maximize their finances so they can travel better. But we all know there is no place like home.”
