Hivemind Capital announced it has formed a strategic partnership with CPIC Investment Management to build a fund platform to tokenize select real-world assets for institutional and other eligible non-retail counterparties, with an initial target capacity of up to $500 million.
Under the arrangement, Hivemind will act as investment manager and oversee portfolio construction, risk management, and execution outside Hong Kong. CPIC IMHK will support advisory work, distribution, and institutional investor engagement in Hong Kong under its existing regulatory licenses. PAC, a real-world asset issuance platform incubated by CPIC IMHK, is expected to provide tokenization services for the strategy.
The partners said the platform is designed to deliver compliant tokenized investment products that combine onchain infrastructure with established asset management practices, emphasizing transparency, regulatory alignment, and risk management. They also framed the initiative as a response to increasing institutional interest in tokenized access to traditional and private-market assets, with an emphasis on improving market efficiency and expanding access within applicable regulatory frameworks.
Hivemind, founded in 2021, positions itself as an investment group operating at the intersection of traditional finance and the onchain economy, allocating institutional capital across multiple strategies while building supporting infrastructure. CPIC IMHK, an affiliate of a major insurance group, holds Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission licenses for dealing in securities, advising on securities, and providing asset management, and said it has been active in bringing tokenized products to market, including approval in March 2025 to launch a tokenized U.S. dollar-denominated currency fund.
