Hogan Lovells Cadwalader has added Morgan Frisoli as a partner in its Tax, Pensions & Benefits practice in Boston as the global law firm continues expanding its corporate and transactional capabilities in the market.
Frisoli joins from Goodwin Procter’s ERISA & Executive Compensation practice.
His practice focuses on compensation and employee-benefit issues arising from initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other major corporate transactions.
Frisoli advises companies and management teams on pre-signing negotiations, executive compensation, equity-based incentives and post-closing employee integration.
He also advises public companies and executives on compensation matters, with particular experience across life sciences, real estate, banking and technology.
Executive compensation can be an important component of complex transactions, particularly when companies need to retain senior leaders, restructure equity awards or integrate compensation programs following an acquisition.
Frisoli’s addition expands Hogan Lovells Cadwalader’s ability to provide compensation advice alongside its M&A, securities and public-company advisory practices.
He is the third Corporate & Finance partner to join the firm’s Boston office in recent months, following M&A partners Bryan Lowrance and Kristin Gerber.
The hiring reflects the firm’s broader expansion in Boston, where its practice spans corporate transactions, intellectual property, litigation and life sciences.
The Boston corporate team advises public and private companies, private equity firms, venture capital investors and other clients on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, minority investments and strategic transactions.
The office also combines life sciences regulatory capabilities with transactional expertise across the product lifecycle.
Frisoli earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston University School of Management, his law degree from Boston University School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.
