Hogan Lovells Cadwalader added Paul Guan in Hong Kong, expanding its private capital and M&A capabilities across Greater China and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Guan is a private capital and M&A lawyer with extensive experience advising private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and financial institutions.
His practice focuses on complex transactions across Asia-Pacific, particularly those involving real estate.
Guan advises on inbound and outbound investments, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, minority and control investments, asset and property management arrangements, real estate financing, and infrastructure transactions.
His practice includes a particular focus on data centers.
Hogan Lovells Cadwalader said the addition strengthens Hong Kong’s role as a gateway connecting Greater China with international capital and investment opportunities across Asia.
The firm also expects Guan to support greater integration between its private equity, M&A, real estate, and private capital capabilities.
His arrival follows several other Asia-Pacific additions during 2026.
These include banking and loan finance partner Eric Tan in Singapore and corporate and M&A partners Sugianto Osman and Prasetyo Sukirno in Jakarta.
Guan will also reunite with former colleagues David Wang in Shanghai and Meka Meng in Beijing.
