Holland & Knight has added Emma Dowell as a partner in its Corporate, M&A and Securities practice in Tysons, Virginia, continuing the firm’s expansion across private equity and transactional law.
Dowell advises clients on M&A, private equity transactions and corporate governance, with particular experience in government contracting, technology, healthcare services, and sports and entertainment.
She becomes the 19th private equity-focused partner recruited by Holland & Knight in 2026.
Dowell brings more than 12 years of transactional experience advising strategic buyers, sellers and private equity clients on complex deals.
The firm said her experience is particularly relevant as transaction activity increases across the government contracting and technology sectors.
Her appointment also strengthens Holland & Knight’s Mid-Atlantic corporate practice and its capabilities serving businesses operating at the intersection of technology, government contracting and private capital.
Dowell earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.S. from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
Holland & Knight ranked as the second-most active law firm in Mid-Atlantic private equity in PitchBook’s year-end 2025 league tables.
