Horizon, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based wealth services firm, has completed its acquisition of LSA Portfolio Analytics, a Missouri-based provider of outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) services. The transaction expands Horizon’s investment consulting capabilities and adds a business serving more than 200 independent advisory firms nationwide. It also represents Horizon’s third acquisition in the past 18 months, following its purchases of Anfield Capital Management and Centre Asset Management.
Founded in 2005 by Brad Kasper and Ryan Kasper, LSA provides independent financial advisors with investment research, portfolio analytics, investment models, and other OCIO-focused services.
The company helps financial advisors navigate portfolio construction and investment decision-making while providing additional analytical resources to support their clients’ financial goals.
LSA’s services are designed for advisory firms seeking institutional investment expertise without having to build and maintain extensive internal investment research and portfolio management operations.
Through its acquisition, Horizon will incorporate LSA’s capabilities into its existing consulting solutions business, providing advisors with additional resources for portfolio analysis, investment selection, and ongoing investment management.
The transaction also broadens Horizon’s relationships with independent advisory firms, adding LSA’s established client base to its existing network.
Brad Kasper and Ryan Kasper will both join Horizon as Directors of Account Management, Consulting Solutions, reporting to Austin Fitch, CFA, Head of Consulting Solutions.
The two executives will continue working with their existing advisory clients while collaborating with Horizon’s investment and consulting teams to expand the company’s services.
Their appointments are intended to provide continuity for LSA’s customers while combining the firm’s established consulting relationships with Horizon’s investment solutions, technology, and practice management resources.
Horizon operates a wealth services platform designed to support independent financial advisors through investment management, proprietary planning technology, and customized business consulting.
Its investment philosophy emphasizes goals-based financial planning, helping advisors develop investment strategies aligned with their clients’ financial objectives.
The addition of LSA strengthens the company’s ability to provide outsourced investment support to advisors seeking additional research and portfolio construction resources.
The acquisition is also part of Horizon’s broader strategy of expanding its investment management and consulting capabilities through acquisitions.
Horizon has now completed three acquisitions within 18 months, reflecting an accelerated period of expansion for the company.
Earlier in 2026, Horizon acquired Anfield Capital Management, adding to its investment management capabilities.
That transaction followed its April 2025 acquisition of Centre Asset Management, another step in the development of its investment solutions business.
Together, the acquisitions have expanded Horizon’s range of investment strategies, consulting capabilities, and relationships with financial advisors.
The company’s expansion has also included significant growth in its exchange-traded fund business.
Horizon entered 2025 without any proprietary ETFs and now offers 16 actively managed ETFs with more than $4.5 billion in combined assets under management.
The rapid expansion of its ETF lineup provides financial advisors with additional investment options across its growing platform.
By combining proprietary investment products with outsourced investment consulting and portfolio analytics, Horizon is seeking to provide advisors with a more comprehensive range of investment management resources.
The acquisition of LSA also reflects growing demand for outsourced investment services among independent financial advisory firms.
As investment products, client requirements, and financial markets become increasingly complex, advisors may seek additional resources to support portfolio construction and investment research while dedicating more time to client relationships and business development.
OCIO services can help address these requirements by providing external investment expertise, portfolio models, research, and analytical support.
LSA has developed its business around serving these needs, working with independent advisors across the United States for more than two decades.
Its integration into Horizon is intended to expand the availability of these capabilities while giving LSA’s existing clients access to a broader suite of investment solutions and supporting technology.
For Horizon, the transaction represents an additional investment in its consulting solutions business as it continues building a platform that combines investment products, financial planning technology, and practice management services.
