hotglue – a leading B2B SaaS provider of embedded integrations – announced it has raised $4 million in seed funding. This funding round was led by 8VC, with participation from Y Combinator, Correlation Ventures, Wayfinder Ventures, and TDF Ventures. This new funding round will support hotglue’s growth, allowing the company to expand its team and further develop its technology to serve its rapidly growing customer base.
The platform enables software companies to embed powerful integration capabilities directly into products, helping developers connect their applications to various third-party tools. And hotglue (founded at the end of 2020) has grown from just five customers during its pre-seed stage to now serving 65+ clients across the US, Europe, India, and South America. Plus its customers range from early-stage startups to established enterprises, including a recently signed publicly traded company.
The primary sectors served by hotglue include customer relationship management (CRM), accounting, and e-commerce tools.
hotglue is a Y Combinator alum who had previously raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed round in 2021. Since then, the company has successfully scaled to meet market needs, adapting to the current economic climate and building a diverse customer base across multiple industries. About 40% of hotglue’s clients are AI-focused companies, reflecting the rising demand for AI integration capabilities.
With headquarters located in Washington, DC’s Navy Yard, hotglue is expanding its team to accelerate product development and customer growth. And the seed funding will also enable the company to build out more advanced support, helping software companies seamlessly connect their products with the tools their customers use and love.
KEY QUOTES:
“hotglue has seen tremendous growth over the last few years, and this new funding round will enable us to keep up with increasing customer demand. Our embedded integration platform is crucial for companies looking to provide seamless connectivity between their products and the growing number of tools their customers use. While we are not an AI company ourselves, our platform plays a significant role in supporting many AI-driven companies by enabling an easy integration of AI tools.”
- David Molot, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer at hotglue
“Integrations are one of the most frequently cited benefits of SaaS products, yet subpar integrations abound, and the good ones often require much more work than most people would guess. The hotglue team recognized this problem early on. Since their YC days, they’ve achieved remarkable progress with their embedded integration platform, customer base, and enlisting stellar technical talent. We are exceptionally excited to lead hotglue’s seed round and help them tackle even more of this increasingly rich and relevant problem set, while helping builders at all scales enhance their craft.”
