Houlihan Lokey has appointed Jane Ma as a Managing Director in its Financial Services Group in New York, strengthening the investment bank’s advisory capabilities across alternative asset management, wealth management and financial technology. Ma’s primary coverage area will be alternative asset managers.
She will also advise clients across wealth management services and asset and wealth management technology.
Ma joins Houlihan Lokey following 16 years at Moelis & Company.
She most recently served as a Managing Director at Moelis covering the asset management, wealth management and asset and wealth management technology sectors.
Over the course of her career, Ma has advised companies and investors on complex strategic and financial matters across the financial services industry.
Her addition expands Houlihan Lokey’s senior coverage in a segment that includes private capital managers, traditional asset managers, wealth management businesses and technology companies supporting those sectors.
Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Services Group provides advice involving mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, restructuring and financial and valuation matters.
The firm said its Financial Services Group ranked as the No. 1 M&A adviser for global financial services transactions valued below $5 billion in 2025, based on LSEG data excluding accounting firms and business brokers.
Ma will use Houlihan Lokey’s broader global investment banking platform to advise asset and wealth management clients on strategic and financial transactions.
