HSBC Bank USA has allocated nearly $4 million in philanthropic funding to eight national and local nonprofit organizations focused on accelerating workforce development for low- and moderate-income adults and advancing clean air, clean water, and urban sustainability initiatives.
The grants support a dual strategy: expanding job training pipelines for underserved individuals facing systemic employment barriers, and backing environmental resilience projects that improve air, water, and food quality in major U.S. cities. Efforts range from green-energy workforce academies and solar-installation credentials to shoreline restoration, habitat protection, and financial literacy programs.
Beneficiaries include Feeding America, Public Housing Community Fund, Waterkeeper Alliance, GRID Alternatives, Virtual Enterprises, Girl Scouts of Greater New York’s Troop 6000, GreenPath Financial Wellness, and Junior Achievement. HSBC-supported programs focus on enabling new career pathways, increasing access to sustainable resources, and driving long-term community stability.
