Humand: $66 Million Series A Raised For AI Workforce Platform

Humand has raised $66 million in Series A funding to expand its AI-powered operating system designed for the world’s 2.7 billion deskless workers. The round was co-led by Kaszek and Goodwater Capital, with participation from Y Combinator and notable technology founders including Arash Ferdowsi, Guillermo Rauch, Martin Varsavsky, and Rajat Suri.

Founded in 2020, Humand provides a centralized mobile platform that enables deskless employees to connect with their companies and manage their work experience. The company says its platform is now used by more than 1.6 million workers across 1,500+ organizations, including MINISO, Domino’s, and OXXO.

Deskless workers represent nearly 80% of the global workforce, yet most enterprise software has historically been built for corporate employees operating from desktops. As a result, frontline workers often rely on paper-based processes, manager-driven information cascades, limited email access, or disconnected systems. This dynamic has contributed to higher turnover, lower productivity, and operational inefficiencies across sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, construction, transportation, retail, hospitality, agriculture, and education.

Humand’s AI-native mobile platform is designed to mirror the on-the-go nature of frontline roles. Employees can request time off, receive feedback, access benefits, complete training, and interact with AI-powered assistants through natural language. The company says this reduces reliance on manual HR processes and large support teams.

The new funding will support expansion in the United States and across the 51 countries where Humand’s customers operate. It will also accelerate AI development, including the expansion of AI agents that answer employee inquiries, process requests, facilitate onboarding and training, and provide coaching. With more than 30 modules, Humand positions its platform as a single source of truth for HR and people operations data, layered on top of legacy enterprise systems.

Humand employs more than 420 people across over 20 countries and uses its own platform to run internal operations.
