Humanoid has raised $152 million in Series A funding at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation to accelerate the development and commercial deployment of its industrial humanoid robots. The financing brings the UK-based company’s total funding to $270 million.
Prime Movers Lab led the round, with participation from Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital and Aglaé Ventures. Humanoid described the financing as the largest Series A completed by a humanoid-first robotics company in Europe.
A post-money valuation represents the estimated value of a company after accounting for the new investment. Humanoid said the transaction makes it Europe’s first pure-play humanoid robotics unicorn, approximately two years after its founding.
The company plans to use the funding to develop and launch its next-generation humanoid robotics platform. It will also expand commercial deployments with customers in logistics, manufacturing, retail and other industrial sectors.
Humanoid expects to begin rolling out beta versions of its robots at customer facilities during the fourth quarter of 2026. The company will also begin mass manufacturing its wheel-based humanoid robots.
Wheel-based systems are designed to move efficiently across relatively structured industrial environments without relying on two-legged locomotion. Humanoid is targeting repetitive and physically demanding tasks where businesses are facing labor shortages or operational constraints.
The company will continue developing KinetIQ, its proprietary four-layer AI framework. KinetIQ is intended to help Humanoid’s robots perceive their surroundings, interpret instructions, make decisions and perform complex physical tasks.
Humanoid’s longer-term objective is to develop general-purpose robots capable of supporting multiple industrial applications. Its vertically integrated strategy combines proprietary robotics hardware with internally developed artificial intelligence and software.
The company has established partnerships with organizations including SAP, Nvidia, Bosch and Siemens. It also recently signed a commercial agreement with Schaeffler involving the planned deployment of thousands of humanoid robots in manufacturing environments.
Bosch is working with Humanoid through its Robert Bosch Robotics subsidiary. Bosch will serve as a contract manufacturing partner while providing advice and technical support related to hardware design, production and supply-chain operations.
Humanoid believes industrial robots are moving beyond research projects and becoming commercially viable tools. The company is positioning its products to help manufacturers and logistics operators increase capacity while allowing employees to focus on less repetitive and physically demanding responsibilities.
Founded in 2024 by Artem Sokolov, Humanoid employs more than 250 engineers, researchers and other professionals. The company operates offices in London, Boston, Vancouver and San Diego.
