Humble: $24 Million Seed Round Fuels Launch Of Autonomous, Cabless Electric Freight Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Apr 23, 2026

Humble emerged from stealth with $24 million in seed funding to develop a new class of fully autonomous, cabless electric haulers designed to transform freight transportation. The round was led by Eclipse, with participation from Energy Impact Partners and other investors. The funding will support continued vehicle development, expansion of the company’s autonomy stack, pilot deployments, and early manufacturing efforts.

Humble’s flagship product, the Humble Hauler, reimagines the traditional tractor-trailer by eliminating the driver cab entirely, resulting in a lighter, more efficient platform optimized for modern logistics environments such as warehouses, ports, and railyards. The design enables increased payload capacity and introduces new use cases across freight operations.

The vehicle leverages a combination of camera, LiDAR, and radar systems to achieve 360-degree environmental awareness, paired with advanced vision-language-action AI models that allow it to interpret complex scenarios and operate autonomously from dock to dock. Its electric powertrain further reduces fuel costs and maintenance requirements while supporting sustainability goals.

The company is targeting a massive U.S. trucking market valued at over $900 billion, where persistent driver shortages and fragmented supply chains continue to create inefficiencies. Humble’s approach aims to address these challenges by delivering fully automated freight movement without human intervention.

Founded by Eyal Cohen, whose background spans companies such as Apple, Uber, and Waabi, Humble has assembled a team of engineers and operators from leading autonomous vehicle and EV companies including Tesla, Waymo, and Cruise. The company developed its first prototype in under six months and is now working with logistics partners to begin testing and early commercialization pilots.

Humble’s strategy centers on a full-stack approach that integrates hardware, AI, and electrification to unlock scalable, cost-efficient freight operations, positioning the company at the intersection of autonomy and industrial logistics transformation.

KEY QUOTES:

“For the first time, freight can be fully automated all the way to the loading dock. We are making freight sustainable, safe and efficient in a way no one thought was possible. And we’re doing it with an exceptional team of industry veterans and AV experts, our first vehicle was completed in just six months.”

Eyal Cohen, Founder And CEO, Humble

“Humble is operating at an unprecedented pace. They understand that autonomous trucking isn’t just a software problem, it requires a full-stack rethink across hardware, AI, and electrification. That integration is what unlocks speed to scale and a step-change reduction in the cost of moving freight.”
