Huper is building a self-organizing, always up-to-date external brain for enterprises that consumes real-time progress data across an organization and helps senior and middle managers focus on the most important priorities. The company is led by CEO Michael Anton. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Huper CEO Michael Anton to learn more.

Background as a Programmer and Business Leader
Asked about his background, Anton shared:
I’ve been a self-taught programmer since I was 8 years old, but I’m a business geek at heart. My passion has always been about the real-world impact technology can have, not the technology itself. I started my career in management consulting and product management, where I experienced firsthand how much time and energy gets burned on status reporting and managerial overhead in modern enterprises. I then went on to be CEO of a construction services company, where I battled the challenges of getting real-time visibility into business operations. I was drinking from an operational firehose and badly needed something like Huper to run my business effectively.
Origins of the Company
Asked how the idea for the company came together, Anton explained:
My co-founders (Andrew Howard and Aidan Kehoe) and I have all been CEOs of organizations, big and small. We set out to use our intimate knowledge of the problem space and the senior executive perspective to change how leaders operate. We wholeheartedly agree on the thesis: the world is speeding up and flattening out. To stay effective, senior leaders are going to require some degree of augmentation. We realized they need to become superhuman – hence the name Huper. We’re on a mission to build the superhuman leaders of tomorrow, capable of massive impact at massive scale. And we’re building the product we’ve needed ourselves.
A Favorite Memory
Asked about his favorite memory working for the company so far, Anton reflected:
We built an internal prototype and started using it to run our own business many months ago. The impact was profound, and that was exciting on its own. But the first time I demo’d the prototype to another CEO, his voice started to quiver. It was a eureka moment for him. He asked if he could get onboarded that day. That’s when I realized we were on to something special. We had identified and started to cure a problem so painful that it was enough to make a veteran CEO emotional. That was the moment it hit me – we’re about to change the world.
Core Products and Features
Asked about the company’s core products and features, Anton detailed:
We’re building a self-organizing, always up-to-date, external brain for enterprises. We consume progress data from across the organization in real time as it happens, analyze it to understand the broader strategic context, and then use those insights to help senior and middle managers focus on the most important things at the most important times. Our chief of staff agent runs continuously and works proactively with leaders to augment their focus. The goal is to automate the administrative side of leadership so people can spend their time on things that are innately human – judgment, coaching, relationships, and strategy. We also recognize that the teams of the future are an amalgamation of humans and AI agents. Our product includes a suite of tools that equip leaders to manage and govern groups of both.
Challenges in the Sector
Asked whether he has faced any challenges in his sector of work recently, Anton noted:
The rate of change in our industry is breathtaking. It’s been fun, exciting, and a little wild. We’ve chosen to design our product to be as flexible to new technologies as possible – we continue to learn that the world becomes different every few months. Our architecture has to accommodate constant change, or we’ll get left behind. That’s a hard engineering problem, but it’s one we think about every day.
Technology Evolution Since Launch
Asked how the company’s technology has evolved since launching, Anton described:
What started as an internal prototype has continued to mature into a real enterprise solution. We’ve invested heavily in security – including bring-your-own-key encryption – and governance. By design, our product ingests some of the most sensitive data in our customers’ organizations. Security has to be at the foundation of the application, not an afterthought. Our founding team comes from the cybersecurity industry, so this is in our DNA.
Significant Milestones
Asked about the company’s most significant milestones, Anton noted:
A few stand out. The first time our internal prototype surfaced an issue to me that I would have missed on my own – it was a Frankenstein moment. “It’s alive!” That validated the entire reason for the product. Since then, the response from senior leaders has been overwhelming. Pretty much every executive we’ve presented the idea to has immediately connected with the problem. We oversubscribed our pre-seed round with strong support from our initial investors. And we’ve had overwhelming interest from early adopters who’ve signed agreements and are ready to start using Huper to run their businesses.
Customer Success Stories
Asked to share specific customer success stories, Anton noted:
Not yet, and that’s by design. We’re running an invitation-only alpha program that kicks off this spring and runs through the summer. We’ll have real stories to share soon.
Funding and Revenue Metrics
Asked to discuss funding and/or revenue metrics, Anton shared:
We raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed round last fall. We’re currently working on raising a larger seed round.
Total Addressable Market
Asked about the total addressable market the company is pursuing, Anton described:
Our initial target market is mid-market private equity firms and their portfolio companies in the US and Europe. The TAM for this segment is approximately $4.5 billion. Our product can absolutely be applied to broader markets, but the strategy is simple: dominate one specific market first, then expand from a position of strength. We’re laser focused on our ICP and refuse to try to become everything for everyone right now. That discipline is a feature, not a limitation.
Competitive Differentiation
Asked what differentiates the company from its competition, Anton emphasized:
Our technical approach, our user persona, and our market focus are all fundamentally different from competitors. We consume and analyze data as progress happens, so we continuously understand what’s going on inside a company. Most of what’s out there is really “enterprise search” – they go find and analyze data after someone asks a question. That’s a reactive approach. Ours is proactive.
Most of the market is also chasing individual productivity. We’re focused on enterprise-wide knowledge and efficiency – helping the people responsible for outcomes across the whole organization, not just individual contributors. And our target market (mid-market PE funds and their portfolio companies) is a world we know well. We have intimate knowledge of the problems these firms face and strong relationships with thought leaders in this space. That gives us a real edge in building something that actually works for them.
Future Goals
Asked about the company’s future goals, Anton concluded:
We’re going to cure the world of status reporting. That might sound like a small thing, but the waste is staggering – potentially trillions of dollars of value locked up in administrative overhead that could be recycled into growth and efficiency. Our users will become superhuman leaders with live, intimate knowledge of their organization’s operations, freeing them to excel at the innately human aspects of leadership. That’s the vision, and we’re building toward it every day.
