HyLight Raises €13 Million Series A Led By Rubio Impact Ventures To Scale Infrastructure Inspection Fleet

HyLight has raised €13 million in Series A funding to expand its aerial infrastructure inspection platform and increase its fleet to 15 HyLighters in operation by 2027.

The round was led by Rubio Impact Ventures, with participation from DRW and TeamPact Ventures. The funding will support expansion of HyLight’s production capacity, technology development, and deployment of additional aircraft as the company scales its infrastructure monitoring operations.

HyLight uses its HyLighter aircraft to inspect critical infrastructure including power lines, gas pipelines, and railways over long distances. The platform captures detailed infrastructure data while operating with zero emissions during flight and at low noise levels.

The company analyzes the resulting data to help infrastructure operators understand asset conditions and determine where and when maintenance work should be performed. HyLight is positioning the technology as a preventive maintenance tool that can help operators identify potential problems before they result in outages or more serious infrastructure failures.

The financing comes four years into the company’s development. HyLight has grown to a team of 45 employees, operates four HyLighters flying every day, and has inspected approximately 7,000 kilometers of infrastructure.

HyLight plans to use the Series A to increase its operational fleet to 15 aircraft in 2027. The company is also targeting broader expansion across Europe as utilities, transportation operators, and energy companies face aging infrastructure alongside increasing pressure from climate change and the energy transition.

The company’s longer-term objective is to provide infrastructure network operators across Europe with more precise, reliable, and frequently updated information about the condition of their assets, enabling maintenance teams to prioritize work and extend infrastructure lifespans.
