I-Pulse, a pulsed power technology company, announced it has acquired CSI Technologies, a California-based manufacturer of high-energy, high-voltage capacitors used in industrial, medical, and defense applications.
The acquisition strengthens I-Pulse’s U.S. manufacturing capabilities and enhances its ability to develop and deploy pulsed power technologies across sectors such as mining, geothermal energy, mineral exploration, and water resource management. By integrating CSI’s capacitor design and production expertise, I-Pulse aims to secure a more reliable supply chain while accelerating the design, prototyping, and manufacturing of compact, high-energy-density capacitors.
CSI Technologies, founded in 1969 and headquartered in Vista, California, brings decades of experience in pulsed power and high-energy-density capacitor design. The company has built a reputation for producing durable, long-life capacitors tailored for demanding applications.
I-Pulse plans to invest further in CSI to expand production capacity and advance prototype development, supporting growing demand across commercial and defense markets. The integration is also expected to improve product performance, reliability, and scalability while supporting job creation.
Founded in 2007, I-Pulse focuses on applying pulsed power technology to civilian industries, including geothermal energy, critical mineral extraction, agriculture, and advanced industrial processes.
