iA Financial Group, a Canadian insurance and wealth management company, announced a $1 million donation to the SickKids Foundation to advance artificial intelligence in pediatric health care. The funding will be distributed over the next ten years and will support the SickKids AI (SKAI) program, which focuses on integrating responsible AI across care, research, education, and operations.

This latest contribution builds on a longstanding partnership between iA Financial Group and SickKids that began in 2006. The company previously donated $500,000 between 2021 and 2025, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to improving child health outcomes.

The SKAI program is designed to enhance pediatric care delivery and innovation through three core pillars. The AI Service pillar focuses on developing, evaluating, and scaling AI technologies across the hospital. The AI Discovery pillar drives research and new insights through AI applications. The AI Community pillar fosters collaboration among experts, learners, and contributors to promote ethical AI use in child health.

SickKids aims to leverage this funding to expand its leadership in pediatric medicine by deploying AI tools in a safe, ethical, and scalable manner, ultimately improving outcomes for children and families globally.
