IBM has announced that its Db2 Genius Hub now supports Google Vertex AI and Intel Gaudi AI accelerators, expanding the platform’s options for AI inferencing beyond its existing support for Amazon Bedrock, AMD Instinct accelerators and NVIDIA H100 GPUs. The update gives enterprise customers greater flexibility in building and scaling AI inferencing workloads.
The Db2 Genius Hub is a unified, agentic AI-driven operating layer designed to transform how organizations manage and optimize Db2 environments. Google Vertex AI integration allows Db2 data to connect with Google Cloud’s fully managed AI platform, while Intel Gaudi 3 accelerators offer a cost-effective alternative for large-scale AI deployments focused on price-to-performance optimization.
The platform supports both on-premises and cloud deployment, addressing the needs of regulated industries such as finance and healthcare that require data to remain behind organizational firewalls. On-premises users can harness NVIDIA H100 and H200 GPUs, AMD Instinct accelerators and Intel Gaudi accelerators, while cloud deployments are compatible across IBM Cloud, AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
Current Db2 customers can trade up to Db2 AI Editions to access Genius Hub and the new inferencing capabilities. IBM is a leading provider of global hybrid cloud and AI and consulting services operating in more than 175 countries.
