IC Realtime, a Pompano Beach, Florida-based provider of professional-grade surveillance and security technology, has secured a $2 million Series A round led by a personal investment from John Hatherly, founder of Wynnchurch Capital, with participation from existing investors. Hatherly will also join IC Realtime’s board of directors.
The funding will accelerate the development of IC Realtime’s software platform, designed to bring together video management, edge intelligence, and cloud-based analytics in a more unified and scalable environment. The investment comes as the broader surveillance and security industry shifts toward intelligent, software-enabled platforms, a transition IC Realtime is positioning itself to lead after nearly two decades of hardware-focused innovation.
Founded in 2006, IC Realtime has built a product portfolio spanning cameras, digital video recorders, and software solutions for dealers, integrators, commercial end users, and consumers across all 50 states and Canada. The company’s products are distributed through Wesco, one of the nation’s largest distributors, and are available in select Best Buy stores at retail.
