ICE USA Acquires Southeastern Land Company In Fourth Platform Add-On

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering USA (ICE USA), a transportation-focused engineering and consulting platform backed by lower middle-market private equity firm Godspeed Capital Management, has acquired Southeastern Land Company (SLC), a right-of-way and easement acquisition firm serving public infrastructure and utility clients across North and South Carolina. Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction is the fourth add-on acquisition under the ICE USA platform.

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, SLC specializes in securing rights-of-way, easements, and fee simple land acquisitions for utilities, municipalities, and government agencies. The firm brings more than 67 professionals to the ICE USA platform, and its existing leadership team, including President Bill Saunders, will remain in place following the close.

ICE USA is built around Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, a full-service transportation consulting and design firm founded in 2013 and headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina, with 30 offices across the Southeast and into Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. The platform also includes two prior Godspeed add-on acquisitions: IDCUS Inc., the inception platform investment, and Robert G. Campbell and Associates. SLC will operate alongside those entities under the ICE USA umbrella.

The strategic rationale centers on extending ICE USA’s capabilities across the full infrastructure project lifecycle. The platform already covers planning, design, and engineering; SLC adds the land acquisition and right-of-way function that typically must be completed before construction can begin on public infrastructure and utility projects. That integration positions ICE USA to offer government and utility clients a more complete end-to-end delivery capability rather than requiring them to coordinate separately with land acquisition specialists.

Godspeed Capital focuses on control buyouts and buy-and-build strategies in defense, government services, and infrastructure, typically targeting companies with $3 million to $30 million in EBITDA.

Support: Moore & Van Allen served as legal advisor to Godspeed and ICE; Eide Bailly served as financial advisor to SLC.
