iCOUNTER Appoints Mark H. FitzPatrick As Chief Financial Officer

iCOUNTER has appointed Mark H. FitzPatrick as Chief Financial Officer, adding an executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience across technology, media, and consumer businesses.

FitzPatrick will lead iCOUNTER’s financial strategy and operations as the cybersecurity company scales its platform and expands adoption among enterprise and public-sector organizations.

In his new role, FitzPatrick will oversee the finance organization and work closely with Chairman and CEO John Watters and the broader leadership team. His responsibilities will include supporting the company’s growth strategy and the continued expansion of its Counter Threat Operating System, or CTOS.

FitzPatrick most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of SimpliSafe, where he oversaw financial operations, capital strategy, and long-term growth initiatives.

Before joining SimpliSafe in 2022, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Madison Square Garden Entertainment. During his tenure, he helped guide the company through the COVID-19 pandemic and supported strategic initiatives including the acquisition of MSG Networks and the launch of Sphere in Las Vegas.

FitzPatrick previously served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer of WeWork, where he helped scale the company and secure more than $10 billion in equity and debt capital.

Earlier in his career, he held senior finance positions at Time Warner Cable, including Chief Financial Officer of Residential Services, along with leadership roles at AOL and Citigroup.

iCOUNTER provides cybersecurity technology focused on third-party risk intelligence and counter-threat operations. Its CTOS platform is designed to help organizations identify and respond to risks across vendors, suppliers, partners, and connected systems.

The platform combines third-party risk intelligence, continuous monitoring, Third-Party Detection and Response, and counter threat operations to help organizations strengthen supply chain security and respond to potential threats across their extended ecosystems.

FitzPatrick’s appointment comes as iCOUNTER seeks to build the financial infrastructure needed to support increased demand for its cybersecurity platform and long-term growth.

KEY QUOTES:

“With nearly half of all breaches involving third parties, iCOUNTER is addressing one of cybersecurity’s most urgent challenges: the threats emerging across third-party ecosystems, where organizations have the least visibility and control. What sets iCOUNTER apart is its ability to turn threat intelligence into decisive action. I’m excited to join John and the team at this pivotal stage, building the financial foundation to accelerate growth and help more organizations counter threats before they become breaches.”

Mark H. FitzPatrick, Chief Financial Officer Of iCOUNTER

“Mark has spent his career helping category-defining companies scale, and he understands what it takes to turn rapid growth into durable, disciplined performance. As more organizations recognize that their greatest exposure sits across their vendors, suppliers, and partners – the demand for what we do is accelerating. Mark’s experience building and scaling businesses at the highest levels makes him the right leader to help us meet that demand with discipline.”
