IGEL Appoints Randy Resnick As Field CTO For Government And Critical Industries

IGEL has appointed Randy Resnick as Field CTO, Government And Critical Industries, adding a veteran cybersecurity executive with nearly four decades of experience across the U.S. Department of Defense and National Security Agency.

Resnick will help advance the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform across Zero Trust, cyber resilience, artificial intelligence, and multi-framework governance for government agencies and critical industries globally. His work will include translating national security-grade security frameworks into architectures that can be deployed across commercial and government environments.

Most recently, Resnick served as Senior Advisor and Director of the Department of Defense Zero Trust Portfolio Management Office, where he led efforts to develop, coordinate, and operationalize Zero Trust across the department’s technology environment.

He authored the original DoD Zero Trust Strategy and helped develop the DoD and National Security System Zero Trust Reference Architectures, Maturity Model, Innovation Labs, and independent assessment approaches. His work focused on moving Zero Trust from a conceptual security model toward operational implementation at scale.

Before his DoD role, Resnick spent more than 34 years at the NSA in senior technical leadership positions. His roles included Zero Trust Strategic Lead, Cybersecurity Innovations Director, Chief Of Information Assurance Engineering, and the first Chief Of The NSA Red Team. He was recognized with a 2024 Wash100 Award and named a 2024 CyberScoop 50 Cybersecurity Visionary.

At IGEL, Resnick will work across product, engineering, partner, and go-to-market teams to translate requirements from government agencies and critical infrastructure operators into repeatable platform capabilities. His remit includes financial services, healthcare, transportation, energy, and utilities, along with government sectors internationally.

His work will also extend across NATO and Five Eyes countries, as well as Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the Middle East. IGEL plans to use his experience to expand the platform’s approach to trust, resilience, governance, workload isolation, identity, segmentation, contextual policy, observability, and comply-to-connect requirements.

Resnick will also collaborate with the IGEL Ready ecosystem, connecting the company’s endpoint platform with partners across silicon, identity, networking, SASE and SSE, cloud, virtualization, and AI technologies.

KEY QUOTES:

“Randy is recognized internationally for his leadership in Zero Trust, but what makes him particularly important as an advisor to IGEL customers and partners is his ability to take transformational cybersecurity concepts from strategy and architecture through program development and operational implementation. That combination of technical vision, leadership and execution is exceptionally well aligned with the next phase of market adoption of the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform.”

Klaus Oestermann, CEO Of IGEL

“IASEP gives us the opportunity to apply these lessons more broadly and securely to the enterprise edge, bringing together trust, resilience, and governance across IT, OT, and emerging workloads in an architecture that organizations can easily operationalize at a scale of their choosing.”
