Imperative Logistics Adds RM Customhouse Brokers To Expand U.S.-Mexico Trade Capabilities

Imperative Logistics has joined forces with RM Customhouse Brokers, adding a longstanding customs brokerage and warehousing business and expanding its capabilities across customs compliance and U.S.-Mexico cross-border logistics.

RM Customhouse Brokers traces its history to 1948 and provides customs brokerage, trade compliance, bonded warehousing and cross-border logistics services.

The company’s operations in El Paso, Texas, provide customers with integrated customs clearance, storage and distribution capabilities at a major gateway for trade between the United States and Mexico.

The addition expands Imperative Logistics’ customs brokerage team and follows the recent addition of customs industry executive Jose D. Gonzalez, CHB.

Together, the additions strengthen Imperative’s expertise across customs brokerage, trade compliance and cross-border transportation.

The El Paso and Ciudad Juárez region is particularly important to Imperative’s expansion strategy. According to the company’s announcement, Ciudad Juárez has more than 330 maquiladora plants, while nearly $150 billion in annual trade moves through the broader El Paso-Ciudad Juárez market.

Imperative believes RM’s longstanding local expertise and customer relationships will complement its existing logistics platform and give customers another important gateway for U.S.-Mexico trade.

RM customers will continue working with the company’s existing team while gaining access to Imperative Logistics’ broader capabilities across customs brokerage, cross-border transportation, global forwarding and integrated logistics.

Imperative Logistics provides expedite services, cross-border solutions, global forwarding and mission-critical logistics for customers managing complex supply chains.
