Implicity Raises $40 Million To Expand AI Cardiac Remote Monitoring Platform

Implicity has raised $40 million in growth equity funding to accelerate U.S. expansion and further develop its AI-powered cardiac remote monitoring platform. The round was led by European technology growth investor IRIS alongside Five Arrows, the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co.

Implicity already works with more than 250 medical centers and monitors more than 120,000 patients daily across the United States, France and Germany.

The company provides a universal remote cardiac monitoring platform that brings together information generated by multiple cardiac devices and monitoring systems.

Rather than requiring clinicians to move among separate systems associated with different medical device manufacturers, Implicity aggregates, normalizes and analyzes cardiac data within a single platform.

The system also integrates with electronic health records, helping care teams incorporate remotely generated cardiac information into existing clinical workflows.

Implicity uses artificial intelligence to prioritize clinically important information and reduce the amount of time healthcare professionals spend manually reviewing alerts and navigating fragmented data.

Remote monitoring has become increasingly important in cardiology as patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices and heart failure generate larger amounts of health information outside hospitals.

While that data can give physicians earlier insight into potential problems, it can also increase the operational burden on clinical teams.

Implicity is designed to identify meaningful signals within those growing datasets so clinicians can spend more time on patients requiring intervention.

The company has built its technology around proprietary algorithms that have received FDA clearance.

According to Implicity, patients monitored using its platform have experienced a 26% reduction in mortality and a 4% reduction in hospitalizations compared with conventional remote monitoring.

Its SignalHF heart failure prediction algorithm is designed to provide earlier visibility into a patient’s risk of heart failure deterioration.

The company’s ECG Analyzer can also reduce false alarms by as much as 76%, potentially decreasing the amount of time clinicians spend reviewing non-actionable alerts.

The new funding will be used to expand Implicity’s U.S. business from its Cambridge, Massachusetts base.

The company plans to add commercial employees, expand its relationships with U.S. healthcare providers and develop features specifically for the American market.

Implicity will also increase investment in its AI roadmap, including the next generation of heart failure prediction algorithms.

The company has already established a substantial position in Europe and plans to build on that presence while scaling in the United States.

The funding gives Implicity additional resources to move from remote monitoring toward increasingly predictive cardiac care.

Rather than simply alerting clinicians after a cardiac event or abnormal signal occurs, predictive algorithms could potentially identify changes earlier and allow healthcare providers to intervene before a patient’s condition becomes more serious.

For hospitals, the platform is also intended to address workforce pressures by reducing the administrative burden associated with reviewing cardiac monitoring data.

Implicity’s universal architecture allows it to work across device manufacturers, potentially giving hospitals a single operating layer for managing patients whose cardiac devices come from different vendors.

IRIS and Five Arrows are backing the company as it moves into its next phase of international growth.

Five Arrows manages more than €34 billion in assets and operates as Rothschild & Co’s alternative assets business.

KEY QUOTES:

“I didn’t become a physician to manage data — I became one to treat patients. This funding lets us care for patients at scale, catching the information through the noise to provide the best possible care — and that’s the future of cardiology I’ve been chasing since my first year as an electrophysiologist.”

Dr. Arnaud Rosier, CEO and Co-Founder of Implicity

“In the evolving healthtech landscape, long-term success requires a rare combination of robust technology, strict regulatory clearance, and undeniable clinical utility. Implicity has proven to be a highly trusted partner to complex health systems because its platform directly addresses the administrative and operational crisis facing hospital workforces today. We are thrilled to back the team as they cement their leadership in the US market and drive the next phase of digital healthcare infrastructure.”

Nicolas Herschtel, Partner on IRIS’ Growth Team

“Implicity is a rare company where clinical superiority, regulatory credibility and genuine patient impact come together at scale. By turning fragmented cardiac data into action, it improves outcomes for patients while relieving the operational pressure on hospital teams. This is precisely the kind of sustainable, mission-driven business we seek to support.”
