Independent Advisor Alliance (IAA), a hybrid registered investment adviser focused on helping financial advisors operate as independent business owners, has promoted Jamie Summerlin to Chief Experience Officer and Devin Stamp to Custodian and Platform Manager.
IAA said the moves reflect its focus on “putting advisors first” and on continuing to invest in talent and infrastructure to support advisors as they grow and scale their businesses.
In his new role as Chief Experience Officer, Summerlin will lead IAA’s end-to-end advisor experience strategy. The firm said he will oversee Relationship Management, Trading and Operations, and Technology, aligning those teams to deliver what it described as a more seamless, proactive, and high-quality experience across the advisor lifecycle. IAA said Summerlin previously helped build and scale its relationship management function, working closely with advisors on growth support and the day-to-day realities of independence.
Stamp, promoted to Custodian and Platform Manager, will be responsible for advancing IAA’s custodial relationships, investment platform, and trading and compensation infrastructure. IAA said he will serve as a connector between custodians, internal teams, and external investment partners, with a mandate to translate platform capabilities into solutions advisors can use in practice. The firm said Stamp’s promotion follows his work supporting advisors across trading, operations, and client account services.
