Index Ventures has announced $3.5 billion in investing capital across new seed, venture and growth funds as the firm marks its 30th anniversary.
The capital includes a new $400 million seed fund, a $900 million venture fund and a $2.2 billion growth fund.
The growth vehicle has been increased by $700 million from the $1.5 billion fund Index Ventures announced in 2024.
The new funds will enable Index to invest across every stage of a company’s development, from initial seed financing through venture and growth rounds, public-market transitions and beyond.
Index Ventures said it will continue focusing on founders across the technology corridor extending from Tel Aviv to San Francisco. The firm’s strategy is based on identifying entrepreneurs early and supporting their companies through multiple stages and market cycles.
Founded 30 years ago, Index Ventures has backed companies including Scale AI, Wiz, Robinhood, Roblox, Figma, Revolut, Datadog and Adyen.
The firm highlighted its early partnerships with Scale AI founder Alex Wang; Wiz founders Assaf Rappaport, Ami Luttwak, Roy Reznik and Yinon Costica; Robinhood founders Baiju Bhatt and Vlad Tenev; Roblox founders David Baszucki and Erik Cassel; and Figma founders Dylan Field and Evan Wallace.
Other portfolio company founders cited by Index include Revolut’s Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko, Datadog’s Olivier Pomel and Alexis Lê-Quôc, and Adyen’s Pieter van der Does and Arnout Schuijff.
Index Ventures said artificial intelligence is lowering barriers to company creation, shortening the time required to move from an idea to a working product and creating opportunities to reshape established industries.
The firm expects AI to drive new company formation and disruption across infrastructure, cybersecurity, financial technology, healthcare, workplace productivity and consumer products.
Index plans to back both first-time founders building AI-native businesses and experienced entrepreneurs repositioning existing companies for an AI-first economy.
The firm’s 30th-anniversary branding centers on its hand-shaped mark, which Index said represents the work of the founders it supports and the firm’s commitment to long-term partnerships. A new version of the mark uses expanding contours to represent successive founders, companies and years in the firm’s history.
