IndiGo has selected Honeywell Aerospace to provide avionics, auxiliary power units and long-term support for 810 new Airbus A320neo family aircraft. Honeywell described the agreement as the largest new-aircraft selectable equipment and services contract in its commercial aviation history.
The agreement will support one of the airline industry’s largest aircraft pipelines as IndiGo expands its domestic and international operations. Financial terms of the selection were not disclosed.
Honeywell Aerospace will supply its 131-9A auxiliary power units for the aircraft. An auxiliary power unit provides electricity and air conditioning while an aircraft is on the ground and can support onboard systems during certain phases of operation.
The company will also provide advanced weather radar systems designed to help pilots identify and avoid hazardous conditions. These systems can improve flight planning and situational awareness when crews encounter thunderstorms, turbulence and other adverse weather.
Traffic collision avoidance systems will also be installed across the new fleet. The technology monitors nearby aircraft and alerts pilots to potential conflicts, supporting safer operations in congested airspace.
Honeywell’s flight management systems will help IndiGo crews plan routes and manage aircraft performance. These systems can support more efficient navigation, fuel usage and flight execution.
The agreement also includes a comprehensive aftermarket support program covering the operational life of the aircraft. Honeywell intends to help IndiGo improve aircraft availability, coordinate maintenance planning and maintain system reliability as the fleet enters service.
Honeywell has supported IndiGo since 2015 and currently provides technologies across the airline’s fleet of more than 400 aircraft. The new agreement significantly expands that relationship as IndiGo builds its next generation of Airbus aircraft.
IndiGo operates more than 2,100 daily flights connecting over 95 domestic destinations and more than 40 international destinations. The airline served over 123 million passengers during its 2026 fiscal year.
The new aircraft are expected to support IndiGo’s efforts to expand beyond its established position in India’s domestic market. The airline is also seeking to strengthen its international network and develop into a larger global carrier.
IndiGo said fleet resilience, operating efficiency and safety have been central to its strategy. The Honeywell systems are intended to support those priorities while helping the airline deliver consistent service across a substantially larger fleet.
For Honeywell Aerospace, the selection strengthens its presence in India, which is one of the fastest-growing commercial aviation markets. The company has operated in the country’s aviation and defense sectors for more than three decades.

The scale of the agreement gives Honeywell greater visibility into future equipment deliveries and aftermarket demand. It also positions the company to support IndiGo as hundreds of new aircraft are delivered and integrated into the airline’s network.
