Infinite Uptime And Tech Mahindra Partner To Scale Physical AI In Manufacturing

Infinite Uptime and Tech Mahindra have formed a partnership to expand the deployment of Physical AI across manufacturing and process industries, combining Infinite Uptime’s industrial intelligence technology with Tech Mahindra’s manufacturing transformation capabilities.

The companies will combine Infinite Uptime’s PlantOS platform with Tech Mahindra’s end-to-end IT-OT transformation capabilities to help manufacturers move beyond detecting potential equipment and production problems toward taking prescribed actions within operating workflows.

PlantOS is Infinite Uptime’s Industrial Outcome Intelligence engine, built on physics-based and industry-specific intelligence to drive industrial reliability.

The platform combines mechanical and process signals with failure-mode intelligence to help operators determine the appropriate action when potential equipment or process problems arise.

Rather than stopping at predictive alerts, Infinite Uptime focuses on connecting those insights to frontline action and then enabling manufacturers to evaluate the impact on plant performance.

The partnership addresses a challenge created by years of investment in industrial sensors, connectivity, analytics, and predictive technologies.

Manufacturers may have large volumes of equipment and production data, but identifying a potential issue does not, by itself, determine what workers should do next.

Infinite Uptime’s approach is intended to provide more contextual recommendations based on physical operating conditions and known failure modes.

Tech Mahindra will bring its systems integration and manufacturing transformation capabilities to those deployments.

The company plans to use its SIIM methodology to help deploy Physical AI within existing production and operational technology environments and integrate prescribed actions more directly into plant operations.

The two companies will jointly take the combined capabilities to market through a broader Outcome Intelligence proposition.

The offering is intended for industrial environments where reliability information needs to be connected with frontline workflows and broader manufacturing transformation initiatives.

The partnership will target asset-intensive industries including steel, cement, chemicals, metals, and related industrial sectors.

Although the companies plan a global go-to-market effort, their strategy will emphasize larger transformation programs where equipment reliability, plant operations, and technology modernization are closely connected.

The initiative reflects growing interest in Physical AI, where artificial intelligence is applied to machines, industrial processes, and other real-world systems rather than operating entirely within digital environments.

In manufacturing, that can involve combining sensor information, engineering knowledge, operating conditions, and AI models to determine both what is happening to equipment and what action should be taken.

For Infinite Uptime, the partnership provides access to Tech Mahindra’s global systems integration and industrial transformation capabilities.

For Tech Mahindra, PlantOS adds a specialized industrial intelligence layer that can be incorporated into broader operational technology modernization programs.

Infinite Uptime says its technology has been deployed across more than 1,000 plants, 172 customers, nine industrial verticals, and 28 countries.

The company describes itself as a Production Outcomes Partner for heavy industries and positions PlantOS around connecting physical asset conditions and production consequences with frontline decisions and validated operating outcomes.

Tech Mahindra provides AI-powered consulting and technology services across industries, with offerings spanning consulting, applications, business process services, engineering, network services, analytics, and cloud and infrastructure services.

The company is part of the broader Mahindra Group.

The partnership provides both companies with a framework for jointly deploying Physical AI in industrial operations where customers are seeking to move from predictive maintenance and analytics to systems that can recommend and support specific operational actions.
