Infisical Raises $40 Million Series B At $600 Million Valuation As It Expands Cybersecurity Infrastructure

Infisical has raised $40 million in Series B funding at a $600 million valuation as it expands cybersecurity infrastructure designed to secure access for developers, machines, and AI agents.

Investor Elad Gil led the funding round after previously participating in Infisical’s Series A. Gradient and Y Combinator are also among the company’s investors.

Infisical provides infrastructure for managing sensitive credentials, certificates, encryption keys, and privileged access across enterprise systems.

The company is increasingly focusing on security challenges created by autonomous AI agents.

AI agents often need access to source code, cloud infrastructure, databases, and other internal systems to do their work. Traditionally, that access requires credentials such as passwords, authentication tokens, or API keys.

Infisical’s Agent Vault lets companies give agents the required access without exposing the underlying credentials directly to them.

Organizations can define the systems and permissions available to each AI agent while reducing the risk of credentials being exposed through a cybersecurity attack or inadvertently transmitted to external models and software tools.

Infisical currently serves more than 1,300 customers and 300,000 developers.

The platform secures about 10 billion secrets each day, and Infisical’s open-source project has more than 30,000 GitHub stars.

Customers include Airbus, Volkswagen, Hugging Face, OpenRouter, Lucid, First American Financial Corporation, Wise, and Clay.

The company plans to use the new financing to accelerate product development, expand engineering and go-to-market teams, and continue building security infrastructure specifically designed for AI agents.

Infisical is positioning AI agents as a new class of enterprise system users requiring many of the same identity, access, and security controls traditionally applied to human employees and software services.

KEY QUOTES:

“You wouldn’t give an employee unrestricted access to every system in your company, and AI agents shouldn’t be any different. Agents need access to company systems to do their jobs, but giving them actual passwords and API keys is a major security risk.”

Vlad Matsiiako, Co-Founder And CEO Of Infisical

“AI agents are becoming a new class of users inside every enterprise, and securing their access will be one of the biggest cybersecurity challenges of the next decade.”
