Inflexion, a major private equity firm in Europe, has agreed to sell its investment in European LifeCare Group (ELCG), the largest vaccination provider in Europe, to another European private equity group.
ELCG runs 84 vaccination clinics in Denmark, the UK, the Netherlands, and Sweden. They offer travel vaccinations, general health vaccinations, and public health programs. For over 20 years, ELCG has provided vaccinations for public health programs in Denmark and the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Recently, the company has also supported vaccine clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies like Sanofi and Pfizer.
Inflexion helped ELCG change from a travel vaccination provider to a leading healthcare platform in Northern Europe. With Inflexion’s support, ELCG’s management team capitalized on the rising demand for vaccinations, driving strong growth through effective marketing and a solid reputation with public health systems. Inflexion also assisted with leadership changes and strengthened the management team. And ELCG enhanced its digital marketing strategy with the assistance of Inflexion’s digital team.
During Inflexion’s ownership, ELCG made four acquisitions and expanded into the Benelux and Swedish markets, nearly tripling its revenue. The number of clinics grew by 65%, the workforce increased sixfold, and the number of vaccinations delivered rose fourteenfold to over 3 million each year.
