Daniel Keller’s Background

Daniel Keller

Could you tell me more about your background? Keller said:

“I started my technology and leadership journey in healthcare and nonprofits, where resources were limited. Due to the high costs of technology, I often had to innovate with minimal tools. That experience taught me how to create impactful solutions with limited resources, a mindset I’ve carried throughout my career. It’s this focus on accessible, transformative technology that ultimately led me to what I do today with InFlux Technologies (Flux), where we are building solutions that empower people globally.”

Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Keller shared:

“Zel Technologies was founded in 2018 as a decentralized platform to give users back ownership and control of their data. Zel was later rebranded to Flux (InFlux Technologies) in 2020. As CEO and co-founder of InFlux Technologies, I lead daily operations for a globally decentralized compute network with over 13,000 systems, including administrators and enterprise nodes. As CEO, I was highly instrumental in expanding the Flux ecosystem and product offerings. I was the one who shaped our journey from a blockchain-based decentralized data platform to a global decentralized cloud computing infrastructure. This transition ensured data sovereignty by enabling the deployment of tailored, entirely customizable, and privately controlled applications by independent users. Today, as a CEO, I continue to drive innovation that positions us as a global leader in data sovereignty.”

Favorite Memory

What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Keller reflected:

“As a cypherpunk at heart, my favorite memory is when the company rebranded from Zel Technologies to Flux. This rebrand represented a pivotal technological shift: we went from focusing solely on blockchain solutions to evolving decentralized cloud ecosystems empowered by blockchain. Our vision evolved with the rebrand, signifying a growing ambition to create a cloud infrastructure that could rival traditional Web2 cloud providers. The name ‘Flux’ was chosen to demonstrate the fluid adaptability of our technology.”

Core Products

What are the company’s core products and features? Keller explained:

“Our globally distributed network of user-operated nodes is a fundamental aspect of Flux’s culture and community. This decentralized infrastructure ensures that no single entity controls the network, aligning with our core values of transparency, security, and community empowerment. Another excellent example of a project on our Flux ecosystem is FluxAI, a decentralized AI platform that provides access to powerful open-source language models and ensures complete data privacy.”

Challenges Faced

Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Keller acknowledged:

“Transitioning from traditional cloud services to decentralized solutions has presented many challenges, as we deal with iterative tech. At InFlux Technologies, we’ve had to build many of these solutions from the ground up, such as our Decentralized 2FA, ArcaneOS, FluxEdge, and FluxCloud. The challenge lies in designing systems to maintain the same level of security, efficiency, and user experience we have come to expect from centralized cloud services. These technologies had never been developed in this way before, which required us to innovate at every step and ensure that they worked in tandem with the blockchain. Through iteration and a commitment to solving these challenges, we’ve successfully implemented solutions that support a secure, scalable, and decentralized cloud infrastructure.”

Evolution Of The Company’s Technology

How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Keller noted:

“Since its launch, the technology behind InFlux Technologies has evolved significantly, driven by economies of scope, to offer a broad and integrated range of features. What began as a simple chatbot solution similar to ChatGPT has grown into FluxAI, a comprehensive suite of AI tools designed to meet diverse user needs. As our platform matured, our goal became clear: build a unified tech stack that eliminates the need to juggle multiple service providers. With IFlux, users can access decentralized compute to deploy and manage applications and seamlessly integrate AI to power custom automation. It’s a proper end-to-end solution built for scale, speed, and simplicity.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Keller cited:

“I could name a few. First, securing an NVIDIA partnership to provide our network with enterprise-grade computing through top-of-the-line GPUs has been a significant milestone for us. Second, in 2024, the World Future Awards recognized InFlux Technologies as one of the top 100 global crypto and blockchain companies, which meant everything to us. Flux prides itself on establishing a global cloud computing infrastructure, so reaching 10,000 active nodes in the network was another significant milestone for us. In 2024, Flux released the public Alpha release of FluxEdge, our decentralized marketplace for rentable computing resources. Finally, one of our most significant accomplishments happened with the release of FluxAI, a fully private suite of AI solutions that leverage open-source LLM technology and allow for customizable AI deployments.”

Customer Success Stories

When asking Keller about customer success stories, he highlighted:

“Restore Empathy Healthcare provides quality care to at-home patients and helps them to foster a sense of independence. Providing at-home care requires intensive administrative organization, which my team spends nearly half its time on. Adopting new technology is a seamless way to elevate care, which we could have spent more time doing if we weren’t so bogged down with admin tasks. AI helped me reduce the admin burden and free up my staff. By adopting the FluxAI document intelligence engine, FluxINTEL, to automate document query and report generation, the Restore Empathy team was able to gain back 30 hours of productivity monthly and save over $6,000 annually.”

“Additionally, Restore Empathy was able to expand its staff and fulfill hiring needs by using FluxGRADER—an AI-powered document evaluation tool—to assess numerous applicant resumes simultaneously. This resulted in a 15% increase in patient satisfaction. Ultimately, we were looking for a partner that could introduce us to AI technology in a way that wouldn’t overwhelm our staff. InFlux Technologies understood our needs and introduced AI gently, allowing us to grow confidently. Their focus on identifying the problem first, rather than just selling a solution, was refreshing. We’re excited to see the potential of AI in enhancing our services.”

Funding

Are you able to discuss funding and/or revenue metrics? Keller revealed:

“InFlux Technologies is 100% bootstrapped; all funds raised were done from the ground up with no VC support. What we have achieved since launch regarding value capture has been remarkable, and it would not have been possible without such a grounded and dedicated team. The initial offering of $FLUX helped raise our funding, but the event was a fair launch with no pre-mine or pre-sale, meaning anyone could participate. Our revenues are generated from several streams, including FluxEdge—our decentralized compute network—and FluxAI subscriptions.”

Total Addressable Market

What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Keller assessed:

“The TAM that we are pursuing is a $1B market capitalization. This may sound ambitious, but Flux wouldn’t have gotten anywhere if we weren’t. We continuously expand our product offerings, bridging the gap between Web2 and Web. We genuinely believe that we will achieve this wild valuation.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Keller affirmed:

“We’re focused on meeting people where they are and showing them the real benefits of decentralized cloud infrastructure. We’re investing time by attending industry events, hosting workshops, and having compelling conversations with businesses and individuals to help them understand what we offer. On top of that, we’ve been building easy-to-follow documentation and support systems, and we’ve even created an AI chatbot to assist with all things Flux, making it easier for anyone to get the help they need, when they need it. It’s all about ensuring people feel supported as they explore decentralized solutions.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future goals? Keller emphasized:

“Permanently disrupting traditional and centralized Web2 cloud providers by supplying dynamic, decentralized, and on-demand compute provision. Additionally, we want to be a visionary in AI development, paving the way for an automated digital landscape, powered by intelligent InFlux solutions. We are actively working towards being a recognized global authority in AI development through an AI economy of scope; we are focused on developing a suite of AI solutions for cohesive departmental task completion instead of just one specialized solution.”

“FluxAI is comprised of a chatbot solution (FluxGPT), an image generation tool (FluxONE), a document intelligence engine (FluxINTEL), a document evaluation tool (FluxGRADER), Code Assist (an AI-powered development tool), and the FluxAI API (a programmatic plug-and-play interface)—all of which contribute to intelligent workflows that can be implemented across departments.”

Additional Thoughts

Any other topics you would like to discuss? Keller concluded:

“The onset of AI within decentralized cloud computing architectures. Estimates project that a global cloud AI market could reach $400 billion by 2030. Using the AI cloud integrative approach, enterprises can leverage AI capabilities and functionalities in the cloud without acquiring new hardware. Unfortunately, much of the existing global cloud network is inherently centralized, with over 70% of the cloud computing market dominated by only a few centralized cloud providers.”

“Synchronizing artificial intelligence with the decentralized cloud can unleash several advantages for large-scale businesses and enterprises. These include automating repetitive tasks, extracting valuable insights from data, and enhancing security. It will also allow them to rapidly scale their operations to meet increased demands, reallocate resources to match dynamic needs, and manage costs by optimizing idle or underutilized components.”
