By Amit Chowdhry • Mar 27, 2026

Infosys has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Optimum Healthcare IT for $465 million, strengthening its position in the rapidly growing healthcare technology sector. The all-cash transaction is aimed at expanding Infosys’ capabilities in serving healthcare providers, particularly in areas such as digital transformation, cloud, and data-driven solutions.

The acquisition brings Optimum Healthcare IT’s deep expertise in healthcare consulting and provider-focused services into Infosys’ portfolio. Based in the United States, Optimum specializes in helping healthcare organizations implement and manage large-scale technology systems, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes. Its capabilities include enterprise application services, digital transformation, and workforce management.

Infosys said the deal will significantly enhance its presence in the healthcare provider segment by adding new client relationships, expanding domain expertise, and creating opportunities across additional buying centers. The company plans to integrate Optimum’s capabilities with its own platforms, including AI-driven solutions and cloud offerings, to deliver end-to-end services to healthcare clients.

The move reflects Infosys’ broader strategy to invest in high-growth sectors such as healthcare, where demand for digital modernization has accelerated following the pandemic. Healthcare organizations are increasingly adopting advanced technologies to improve data management, reduce inefficiencies, and support personalized patient care.

Optimum Healthcare IT will also benefit from Infosys’ global scale and resources, enabling it to accelerate innovation and expand its service offerings. The combined entity is expected to deliver enhanced value to healthcare providers through integrated solutions that improve clinical and operational outcomes.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
