Infosys announced a definitive agreement to acquire Stratus, a U.S.-based technology solutions provider focused on the property and casualty insurance sector, to strengthen its AI-driven digital transformation capabilities.
The acquisition is designed to enhance Infosys’ leadership in the insurance industry by combining its global scale, cloud and AI platforms with Stratus’ deep domain expertise in property and casualty insurance and its strong partnership with Guidewire. Stratus brings more than 450 professionals and a global delivery footprint across the United States, Canada, and India.
Stratus specializes in end-to-end Guidewire InsuranceSuite services, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, along with cloud migrations, integrations, and managed services. The company also has a strong data and analytics practice spanning platforms such as Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, enabling advanced, AI-led transformation initiatives for insurers.
By integrating Stratus’ consulting and platform expertise with Infosys’ AI platform Infosys Topaz and cloud offering Infosys Cobalt, the combined entity aims to support insurers in core modernization, cloud adoption, and data-driven transformation, while improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
The deal is also expected to expand Infosys’ reach among global insurance clients and strengthen its presence across key decision-making centers within the industry.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.
