Infosys And Columbia University Launch Enterprise AI Research Center

Infosys and Columbia University have launched a strategic research collaboration and a new center focused on enterprise applications of generative AI and agentic AI.

The Infosys Topaz – Columbia University Enterprise AI Center will be led by Columbia Engineering and located at Infosys’ One World Trade Center office in New York City.

The collaboration is intended to combine Columbia’s academic research with Infosys’ enterprise technology capabilities and customer relationships.

Infosys plans to use the center to work with customers through workshops, research collaborations and co-innovation programs designed to accelerate AI adoption.

Research will focus on three primary areas: AI-first experiences and processes, responsible and sustainable AI and AI for marketing.

Work on AI-first experiences and processes will explore natural interfaces such as voice and free-form text and ways enterprises can redesign existing workflows and business models around AI.

The responsible and sustainable AI research area will address regulation, ethics, cybersecurity, explainability, transparency and energy use.

AI for marketing research will examine areas including personalization, predictive analytics, campaign optimization, AI agents and generative content.

The center is expected to serve as a hub for corporate executives, research and development leaders, students and technology practitioners.

The collaboration expands Infosys’ broader Infosys Topaz portfolio, which brings together services, solutions and platforms based on generative and agentic AI technologies.
