Ingersoll Rand has acquired Lone Star Blower, which operates as Lone Star Turbo, expanding its portfolio of industrial blower, compressor, control system and aftermarket service capabilities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Lone Star manufactures centrifugal, geared, gearless and multistage blowers and compressors, along with packaged systems and custom controls.
The U.S.-based company has a strong presence in water and wastewater treatment and serves other industrial markets requiring specialized flow technologies.
Lone Star also operates an established service business and a large and growing equipment rental fleet.
The company will become part of Ingersoll Rand’s Industrial Technologies and Services segment.
Ingersoll Rand expects Lone Star’s engineering expertise and system design capabilities to strengthen its North American offering and enable the company to provide more complete solutions to existing and prospective customers.
The acquisition also supports Ingersoll Rand’s strategy of expanding recurring aftermarket revenue through maintenance, services and rentals.
Ingersoll Rand provides flow creation, life science and industrial technology products through a portfolio of more than 80 brands.
