Innovative Aerosystems has acquired an exclusive perpetual license from Honeywell International covering power generator systems used in commercial and defense aircraft, significantly expanding its electrical power and sustainment capabilities.
The agreement includes intellectual property, customer contracts, OEM and aftermarket production and repair rights, along with program assets tied to Honeywell’s generator systems. Innovative Aerosystems also gains specialized tooling, testing equipment, and technical data supporting power generators and generator control units deployed on platforms such as the Boeing 767, KC-46 aerial refueling tanker, and F-15 fighter jet.
These systems are essential for generating, conditioning, and managing onboard electrical power, ensuring stable supply to avionics, flight controls, communications, and other mission-critical aircraft systems across all phases of flight.
The acquisition strengthens Innovative Aerosystems’ position as a lifecycle partner for both commercial and defense operators by enhancing long-term sustainment, engineering support, and supply continuity. It also expands the company’s reach across a broader base of aircraft platforms and global customers.
Additionally, the company expects operational and commercial synergies by leveraging its vertically integrated U.S.-based engineering, manufacturing, and certification capabilities to improve repair responsiveness, product supportability, and future modernization initiatives.
The move aligns with Innovative Aerosystems’ broader strategy to build an integrated portfolio spanning avionics, flight control systems, navigation technologies, mission computing, and electrical power system sustainment.
