Innovative Lab Services has acquired Boston-based Overbrook Scientific, broadening its national reach and significantly strengthening its capabilities in laboratory relocations, asset management, and multi-vendor maintenance. The acquisition deepens ILS’ position as a major independent service provider to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical, and academic laboratories across the United States.
The deal brings Overbrook’s full lifecycle laboratory support offering under the ILS umbrella. These services include contract maintenance and qualification for instrumentation, laboratory relocation management, asset management for equipment planning and procurement, and quality management consulting. The integration enhances ILS’s ability to support laboratories from early planning to ongoing operations.
Overbrook’s Founder and President, Ted Palashis, along with the full Overbrook team, will join ILS and continue leading laboratory lifecycle and technical services within the combined organization. The acquisition reflects ILS’s strategic focus on partnering with specialized regional providers to increase its coverage, responsiveness, and technical depth nationwide.
Innovative Lab Services continues to scale its national engineering network as demand rises for flexible, multi-vendor laboratory service solutions. The addition of Overbrook’s established expertise and customer base further solidifies ILS as a comprehensive service platform for laboratory owners and managers.
