Innovative Systems Acquires Actifai To Expand AI-Driven Broadband Automation

Innovative Systems, a provider of broadband billing and subscriber management platforms, announced it has acquired Actifai, an AI platform built for broadband service providers. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition is aimed at accelerating AI-driven automation across broadband operations. By combining Innovative Systems’ eLation platform with Actifai’s AI engine, the companies plan to embed artificial intelligence throughout the full subscriber lifecycle, from acquisition and activation to support and retention.

Innovative Systems’ eLation platform serves as a unified system of record for broadband providers, integrating billing, provisioning, financials, and operational workflows. Actifai complements this with a platform-agnostic AI engine designed to improve sales performance, customer engagement, and retention across digital, phone, and in-person channels.

The companies said they will continue operating independently while collaborating to deliver “agentic AI workflows” that integrate into existing systems without requiring providers to replace their current technology stacks. The combined capabilities are expected to enhance decision-making, automate workflows, and enable service providers to anticipate and resolve customer issues more effectively.

Actifai’s platform has demonstrated measurable impact since its launch, helping internet service providers increase average revenue per user by 5 to 20 percent, improve sales conversion rates by up to 30 percent, and boost subscriber retention by 6 to 11 percent.

Following the acquisition, Actifai will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Innovative Systems. Ned Brody will continue to lead Actifai, while Scott Alcott will remain CEO of the combined organization.
