Inseego and Nokia have signed an agreement for Inseego to acquire Nokia’s Fixed Wireless Access CPE business, a transaction expected to approximately double Inseego’s revenue and establish the company as a global leader in wireless broadband across consumer and business markets. The deal will broaden Inseego’s portfolio across fixed wireless, mobile broadband, and cloud-managed connectivity, while giving the combined entity a global footprint it did not previously have. Nokia says the transaction reflects its strategic shift to simplify its operational model and focus its portfolio on the infrastructure powering the AI supercycle and the AI-driven transformation of networks.

As part of the agreement, Nokia will receive approximately a 7% equity stake in Inseego at closing in the form of common stock and warrants, representing a value of $20 million. Nokia will also make an additional $10 million investment in Inseego in the form of common stock and warrants to further strengthen the commercial collaboration between the two companies, bringing Nokia’s total ownership interest to approximately 11%. The structure is designed to align Nokia’s long-term interests with Inseego’s success and signal commitment to the collaboration beyond the asset sale.

The two companies also plan joint go-to-market initiatives in 6G and wireless edge to capture the opportunities in AI and further advance the FWA business. The collaboration will explore joint innovation and carrier 5G monetization opportunities as well as consumer and enterprise growth at the wireless edge. Nokia and Inseego have committed to working closely together to ensure seamless continuity for existing customers through a carefully managed transition, with a strong focus on service, support, management, and staff continuity throughout the handover process.

The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including consultations with works council or other employee representative bodies where applicable. Perella Weinberg Partners served as financial advisor to Nokia in connection with the deal. Inseego CEO Juho Sarvikas said the acquisition positions his company to work with Nokia at the wireless edge, where AI-driven workloads, cloud connectivity, and next-generation networks are increasingly converging and creating new opportunities for both companies and their customers.
