Insmed: BRINSUPRI Revenue Jumps 49% To $309 Million As Peak Sales Estimate Tops $7 Billion

Insmed reported rapid commercial adoption of BRINSUPRI during the second quarter of 2026, with global revenue increasing 49% sequentially to $309.2 million as the company raised both its full-year guidance and long-term peak sales expectations for the bronchiectasis treatment.

BRINSUPRI generated $308.6 million of U.S. revenue and $600,000 internationally during Q2. For the first six months of 2026, the therapy generated $517 million of global revenue, including $515.7 million from the U.S.

The launch is growing considerably faster than Insmed initially anticipated. The company increased its full-year 2026 BRINSUPRI revenue guidance to $1.25 billion to $1.40 billion from its previous forecast of at least $1 billion.

Insmed also raised its long-term peak revenue estimate for BRINSUPRI to more than $7 billion. Combined with more than $6 billion projected for TPIP and more than $1 billion for ARIKAYCE, the company now estimates that its three lead programs can generate more than $14 billion of combined peak revenue.

BRINSUPRI’s rapid adoption helped drive total Insmed Q2 revenue to $425.5 million, compared with $107.4 million a year earlier. ARIKAYCE contributed another $116.3 million during the quarter.

The changing product mix is also benefiting manufacturing economics. Insmed said cost of product revenue as a percentage of sales declined during Q2 because BRINSUPRI has lower manufacturing costs than ARIKAYCE.

Despite significantly higher investment in the commercial launch and clinical pipeline, Insmed’s quarterly net loss narrowed to $13.2 million, or $0.06 per share, from $321.7 million, or $1.70 per share, a year earlier. The company ended June with approximately $1.2 billion of cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities.

International expansion represents another potential growth catalyst. Insmed expects a Japanese regulatory decision for brensocatib in non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis during the second half of 2026.

The company is also studying whether BRINSUPRI could have a broader impact on the progression of bronchiectasis. Insmed and the European Multi-centre Bronchiectasis Audit and Research Collaboration are conducting a three-year open-label interventional study evaluating the potential disease-modifying effects of 25 mg brensocatib.

Insmed plans to continue accelerating BRINSUPRI commercial activity in the U.S. while preparing for a potential launch in Japan.
