Instacart announced it has acquired Instaleap to accelerate the global expansion of its enterprise platform and strengthen its presence beyond North America.
The acquisition enhances Instacart’s ability to deliver integrated technology solutions to grocery retailers worldwide, supporting its strategy to power omnichannel grocery experiences across international markets. Instaleap brings a strong global footprint, with operations in nearly 30 countries and established relationships with close to 100 grocery retailers and marketplaces across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Instaleap’s platform, which has powered more than 100 million transactions to date, offers purpose-built solutions for marketplace integrations and fulfillment services. These capabilities complement Instacart’s broader enterprise ecosystem, which includes ecommerce infrastructure, retail media, in-store technology, and AI-driven data solutions.
Following the acquisition, Instaleap will initially operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, ensuring continuity for its existing retail partners. Over time, Instacart plans to expand its suite of enterprise offerings across Instaleap’s customer base, including Storefront Pro, Carrot Ads, Caper Carts, and FoodStorm.
The transaction reflects growing global demand for digital grocery infrastructure, as retailers increasingly adopt omnichannel strategies to meet evolving consumer expectations. Instacart has already seen early traction internationally with offerings such as its ecommerce platform and AI-powered smart carts.
By combining Instaleap’s international expertise and retailer relationships with Instacart’s technology platform, the company aims to accelerate the adoption of its solutions globally while enabling retailers to scale operations, improve efficiency, and unlock new revenue streams.
