Inszone Insurance Services, a national insurance brokerage headquartered in Sacramento, California, has acquired Streeter Brothers Insurance, a long-standing agency based in Billings, Montana, further expanding its footprint in the state.
Founded in 1922, Streeter Brothers Insurance has served the Billings community for more than a century, building a reputation for personalized service and strong local relationships. The agency has remained a multi-generational business and has operated as a full-service provider offering personal, commercial, and life insurance solutions.
Most recently owned by Linda Schmaing, who joined the company in 1986 and acquired it in 2016, the agency has continued to grow while maintaining its community-focused approach. As part of the transaction, the agency will continue operating from its current location with its existing team, ensuring continuity for clients.
The acquisition provides Streeter Brothers access to Inszone’s broader carrier network, technology platforms, and operational resources, while preserving its local identity and service model. The deal also aligns with Schmaing’s retirement planning, enabling a structured transition for the business.
Inszone, founded in 2002, has been expanding both organically and through acquisitions and now operates across multiple states, including California, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Texas, and Montana, among others.
