Inszone Insurance Services has expanded its presence in Texas through the acquisition of Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates, a Dallas-based agency specializing in commercial property insurance.
Headquartered in Sacramento, California, Inszone said the deal strengthens its footprint in Texas and enhances its capabilities in the commercial property segment. Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates was founded in 1981 by Don Medlin and Paul Scarbrough, with Rod Medlin later joining the firm to help guide its growth.
The Dallas agency has more than four decades of experience serving commercial property clients, including property management firms, association management companies, and multifamily and mixed-use developments. The firm also provides insurance services to complex commercial classes such as large school districts, electric cooperatives, oil and gas operations, contractors, and restaurants and bars.
As part of the transaction, the Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates team will remain in place, continuing to serve clients under the partnership. Inszone said the acquisition will provide the agency with expanded resources, technology, and market access, while maintaining its existing relationships and client-first approach.
Founded in 2002, Inszone Insurance Services is a full-service insurance brokerage offering property and casualty as well as employee benefits solutions. The company has grown both organically and through acquisitions and now operates offices across multiple states, including California, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Washington, with additional nationwide expansion planned.
