Integral Raises €18 Million Series A To Expand AI-Native Accounting, Tax And Payroll Platform For SMEs

Integral has raised €18 million in Series A funding to expand its AI-native professional services platform, which combines proprietary software with licensed accounting, tax and payroll experts serving small and medium-sized businesses.

The round was co-led by Mosaic Ventures and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, with continued participation from Cherry Ventures, General Catalyst and Puzzle Ventures. The financing brings Integral’s total funding to more than €30 million.

Integral is building what it describes as an AI-native professional services group, using technology developed internally alongside licensed professionals who remain accountable for the work delivered to customers.

Rather than positioning AI simply as an assistant for traditional accounting firms, Integral’s model is designed around rebuilding professional services operations around proprietary software and automation.

The company initially focused on accounting, tax and payroll services for SMEs, categories that typically require businesses to coordinate financial records, filings, payroll processes and regulatory requirements across multiple providers or software systems.

Integral’s approach combines those services with an internal technology stack intended to automate routine workflows while allowing licensed professionals to oversee higher-value and compliance-sensitive work.

That hybrid model reflects a broader shift taking place across professional services as AI systems become capable of handling larger portions of document processing, data extraction, reconciliation and administrative work.

Integral is betting that the larger opportunity is not simply to sell AI software to existing firms, but to build and operate the professional services organization itself around AI-native infrastructure.

The company has reached its Series A less than two years after launching.

With the new financing, Integral plans to invest more heavily in its technology, expand its team of specialists and bring its services to a larger number of businesses.

The company is also actively hiring across engineering, go-to-market, tax and payroll roles as it scales both the software and human expertise supporting its platform.

The participation of existing investors Cherry Ventures, General Catalyst and Puzzle Ventures alongside Mosaic Ventures and Hoffman gives Integral additional backing as it attempts to expand beyond its initial accounting, tax and payroll offering.

The long-term opportunity could extend into other professional services where customers need both automation and accountable human expertise.

Integral’s model is particularly relevant in regulated areas where fully autonomous software may not be sufficient. By pairing AI-driven workflows with licensed professionals who remain responsible for outcomes, the company is attempting to combine the efficiency of software with the assurance traditionally associated with professional service firms.

The latest funding will support that strategy as Integral moves from its initial product and service categories toward a broader AI-native professional services organization.
