INTEGRIS Health has signed a definitive agreement to become part of Risant Health, a nonprofit organization focused on expanding value-based care through partnerships with community-based health systems.
The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. If completed, Oklahoma City-based INTEGRIS Health would become the third health system to join Risant Health, following Geisinger and Cone Health.
INTEGRIS Health is Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system and operates the state’s largest physician network. Its statewide footprint includes 10 acute care hospitals, 10 specialty hospitals, physician clinics, urgent care locations, rehabilitation services, mental health and addiction recovery programs, home health, and hospice services.
The organization employs approximately 13,000 people and provides care ranging from primary services to advanced specialties.
Under the planned combination, INTEGRIS Health will retain its name and brand, medical staff, and existing leadership team. Its mission will also remain unchanged, and the health system will continue working with other health plans, provider organizations, and independent physicians.
Risant Health was created to accelerate adoption of value-based care, an approach designed to improve health outcomes while controlling the overall cost of care. Joining the organization is expected to give INTEGRIS Health access to additional resources, health management technology, clinical tools, and value-based care programs.
INTEGRIS Health physicians would also gain access to integrated care solutions available through Risant Health’s value-based platform. The organizations said additional investments are expected across hospitals and clinics, technology, growth initiatives, and clinical tools supporting physicians and nurses.
Risant Health pointed to several initiatives already implemented across Geisinger and Cone Health as examples of the capabilities it intends to expand.
At Geisinger Community Medical Center, Risant Health said patients are receiving emergency department care approximately 60% faster on average following implementation of its Care Without Delay program. Geisinger’s Value-Based Care Guides are also estimated to make approximately 490 additional specialist appointments available each month for patients with more complex needs.
At Cone Health, Risant Health said its Ambient Clinical Assistant has reduced the amount of time clinicians spend documenting notes per patient encounter by almost 14%.
Risant Health also said Geisinger’s participation has generated benefits representing nearly 1% of operating margin improvement.
The proposed addition of INTEGRIS Health would expand Risant Health’s model into Oklahoma while giving the system a larger platform for investments in care delivery, technology, and value-based health management.

“Becoming part of Risant Health is about delivering on our mission — partnering with people to live healthier lives — but faster. This will be done by adding resources, proven value-based care capabilities and investments in our hospitals and clinics, in growth, in technology, and in the clinical enablers that will help our physicians and nurses serve our communities better.
