Intellectus Partners announced that it has appointed AJ De Rosa as Chief Executive Officer of Intellebox.ai, effective October 1, 2025, marking the transition of the platform from an internal innovation initiative to an independent company serving advisory and wealth management firms.
According to the announcement, Intellebox.ai was developed within Intellectus’ incubation group and is now being spun out to operate as a standalone venture. The platform is described as a full-stack artificial intelligence system designed to act as an “Advisor’s Intelligence Operating System,” connecting modern advisory firms’ operations through intelligent engagement, AI agents, and workflow automation.
Founded by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, Intellectus Partners is an independent registered investment adviser headquartered in San Francisco with an expanded presence in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southern California. Intellebox.ai is built for financial advisory and research firms to transform sporadic client interactions and fragmented workflows into a unified, connected ecosystem. This aims to enhance advisor efficiency and improve client communication across advisory practices. In announcing the appointment, David J. La Placa, Founder and CEO of Intellectus Partners, said De Rosa’s career in fintech and enterprise growth helped shape Intellebox.ai from the ground up and that his appointment signals the company’s move from stealth to commercial scaling. De Rosa brings nearly three decades of leadership in AI, fintech, and enterprise growth, previously holding the Chief Revenue Officer role at Evolv Technologies, where he helped grow revenues from $2 million to more than $70 million in annual recurring revenue and supported the firm’s public listing. De Rosa said the platform is already live with multiple firms and noted that the company is preparing to bring the system to market as a standalone platform.
Following years of development and investment in AI infrastructure, Intellebox.ai has begun roll-out to a second customer and is positioned as an intelligent engagement ecosystem that fuses human expertise and AI. Its objective is to redefine how advisors engage clients, manage operations and ensure compliance. Intellectus Partners is also a member of the Dynasty Financial Partners network of independent advisory firms; the announcement notes that Dynasty and its affiliates are separate and unaffiliated entities.
