Interface – a mobile companion for Ethereum enthusiasts – recently announced it had raised $1.4 million in a seed round led by Polymorphic Capital and Mask Network. The funding will enable new use cases and facilitate further expansion into various industry niches. The company reimagines how users explore and navigate the blockchain by organizing transactions into a human-friendly feed and consolidating users’ entire on-chain presence.
With a focus on discovery and distribution, Interface empowers creators and users: creators can leverage the platform to distribute their on-chain work and reach a broader audience. In contrast, users can seamlessly explore content that aligns with their interests.
Interface shifts the focus to the real people behind them rather than faceless numerical addresses, fostering a more social and engaging experience. And users can seamlessly navigate through their activity and explore the activity of others, including the on-chain content they have created and collected, events they have attended, and communities they participate in. This way, Interface empowers users to connect, discover, and engage with the vibrant Ethereum ecosystem.
This project kickstarted its development in February 2022 by raising 50 ETH through a crowdfunding campaign, which amounted to over $150K. This crowdfund attracted participation from prominent figures, including Patricio Worthalter, Anton Bukov, and Mask Network.
Interface recently closed a $1.4 million investment round co-led by Polymorphic Capital and Mask Network. This funding round also included participation from Seed Club, Caballeros Capital, Safe Ecosystem Foundation, and notable angel investors such as Blake Gao, Anton Bukov, Sergej Kunz, Arthaud Mesnard, Will Papper, and Andrey Scherbovich.
Based in Portugal, Interface operates on a global scale, catering to users from all over the world. With the recent investment, Interface aims to enhance the product, reduce entry barriers for newcomers and create an engaging social experience for crypto users.
KEY QUOTES:
“In order for the beauty of crypto to truly reach its potential and empower individuals with control over their digital rights it should be easy to use. At Interface we are trying to abstract away the complexities of the Ethereum network and all the human activity it secures by building an intuitive mobile companion for the onchain generation.”
— Nikita Kudryavtsev, the co-founder of Interface
“Frequently, discussions about the developing social protocols and applications within crypto overlook a significant aspect – Ethereum itself functions as a social network to some extent. Through Ethereum’s diverse apps within its ecosystem, users can engage in activities like posting content, connecting with friends, and exchanging messages. However, until recently, this experience remained fragmented, with most available front-ends concentrating on individual applications or technical and financial aspects of the onchain world. Interface seeks to change this by providing a universal front-end specifically tailored for social use cases, transforming Ethereum into a comprehensive social network.”
— Eldar Khamitov, Partner at Polymorphic Capital
“Interface’s approach to search and aggregation of wallet’s activity across sources, and turning them into a human friendly and discoverable social feed — hugely aligns with Mask Network’s vision of a new and open internet where users are the customers, not the products. Web3 Social is a paradigm shift and we strongly believe that the Interface team is at the forefront of it.”
— Suji Yan, Founder of Mask
