Intrax, a global leader in international education and exchange programs with a mission to connect people and cultures, has acquired StudyPoint, a national provider of one-on-one tutoring, SAT and ACT test prep, and college admissions support. The acquisition expands Intrax’s ability to serve students and families throughout their academic journey by adding a domestic education offering to a portfolio that has historically focused on international exchange, cultural immersion, and J-1 Visa programs. Founded in 1999 in Boston, Massachusetts, StudyPoint has helped over 50,000 students improve grades and test scores through personalized, proprietary curricula and experienced tutors, and now operates in 23 metropolitan areas across the country.

StudyPoint specializes in SAT and ACT test preparation, core academic subjects including math, science, and language arts, and study skills development for K-12 students, as well as college admissions counseling for high school students. Its model is built around personalized, one-on-one instruction delivered both in-person and online, giving students access to consistent, dedicated support from tutors who know them individually. The company’s track record of measurable outcomes and its national footprint made it an attractive acquisition for Intrax, which says StudyPoint aligns directly with its mission to deliver high-quality educational programs that prepare students to succeed as global citizens.

StudyPoint co-founders Rich Enos and Greg Zumas will remain on the board following the acquisition, ensuring continuity of vision, culture, and academic quality as the company scales with Intrax. Zumas will also oversee day-to-day operations in partnership with the Intrax executive team, providing operational continuity during the integration period. Both founders’ continued involvement reflects the importance Intrax places on preserving what has made StudyPoint successful over more than two decades of operation.

The acquisition further diversifies Intrax’s portfolio, which already includes programs such as AuPairCare, Ayusa, AmeriCamp, Intrax Work Travel, Intrax Global Internships, Intrax Education, Gap 360, and FurtherTravel. Intrax has offered programs to more than 1 million participants, families, and businesses worldwide since 1980 and is a US Department of State designated J-1 Visa Sponsor. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
