Isaac Health: Interview With Co-Founder & CEO Julius Bruch About The Brain Healthcare Company

By Amit Chowdhry ● Sep 29, 2025

Isaac Health is a healthcare company that provides digitally enabled dementia and brain health care services, designed to improve access, outcomes, and affordability for patients and health systems. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Isaac Health co-founder and CEO Julius Bruch to gain a deeper understanding of the company.

Julius Bruch’s Background

Julius Bruch

Could you tell me more about your background? Bruch said:

“I’m Julius Bruch, the co-founder and CEO of Isaac Health, a leading virtual clinic focused on brain health and dementia care. A physician-scientist by training, I bring a unique blend of clinical, research, and business expertise to my work. I hold a PhD in the molecular biology of neurodegenerative diseases and earned my medical degree from the University of Cambridge. Before launching Isaac Health, I spent seven years at McKinsey & Company, where I led projects in value-based care and digital health innovation.”

Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Bruch shared:

“Dementia is becoming a growing challenge, and the numbers are staggering. A 2025 study in Nature Medicine estimates that 42% of adults over 55 will develop dementia in their lifetime—with even higher rates among women, Black adults, and people with certain genetic risk factors. Looking ahead, researchers predict that by 2060, we’ll be seeing close to a million new dementia cases each year, mainly due to an aging population and shifting demographics.”

“On top of that, there just aren’t enough dementia specialists to meet the demand. According to the RAND Corporation, some areas of the U.S. have wait times of more than six years to see a specialist. That shortage is what pushed me and my co-founder, Joel Salinas, MD, to rethink how brain health care could be delivered. We saw an opportunity to use telehealth and technology to break down barriers to access, support families earlier in their journey, and build a smarter, more scalable system of dementia care. That’s how Isaac Health got its start.”

Favorite Memory

What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Bruch reflected:

“Launching Isaac Health’s GUIDE Model program was a big highlight for me, because it marked a real milestone in our mission to offer more complete, person-centered support to patients and their caregivers. We’d been working for months to build something that not only addressed the medical aspects of dementia care, but also the emotional, logistical, and day-to-day challenges families face.”

“What made it especially meaningful was hearing directly from the families we serve. Patients and caregivers shared how their Isaac Health providers not only helped them receive the medical care and psychosocial support they needed, but also made them feel seen and supported for the first time in their dementia care journey. Those conversations were powerful. They brought our mission into sharp focus and reminded me why we built Isaac in the first place: to bring better care, dignity, and support to people navigating brain health conditions like dementia.”

“This program is just the beginning, but it represents the kind of systemic change we believe is possible—and necessary—in dementia care.”

Core Products

What are the company’s core products and features? Bruch explained:

“Isaac Health is a tech-enabled brain health and dementia clinic that delivers comprehensive, personalized care for people living with dementia and their family caregivers. Its core services include expert diagnosis through neurological and cognitive assessments, evidence-based treatment plans, and ongoing support through personalized care navigation and caregiver resources. Harnessing technology through telehealth and AI-powered screening tools, Isaac Health aims to improve cognitive outcomes and ensure that patients and families feel supported every step of the way.”

Evolution Of The Company’s Technology

How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Bruch noted:

“Since launch, we’ve significantly advanced our technology and infrastructure to better meet the needs of patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners. We’ve expanded on our detection capabilities with AI-driven tools that help identify cognitive issues earlier and more accurately. Our engineering team has also built a robust platform designed for providers and partner organizations, enabling seamless care coordination and scalable support for diverse populations. These innovations have allowed Isaac Health to expand access to high-quality dementia care while delivering measurable outcomes across a growing network of patients and healthcare partner organizations.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Bruch cited:

“We’ve achieved a lot in just the last year! Some recent highlights include:

– Isaac Health became one of the first “established” participants in the new CMS Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) Model in July 2024.

– Isaac Health partnered with Independence Blue Cross and other payers to provide comprehensive dementia care for their member population.

– Isaac Health earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Telehealth Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. We are the 15th telehealth organization in the country to be awarded this distinction and the first telehealth provider for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders to have earned it.

Total Addressable Market

What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Bruch assessed:

“The ADRD market represents a TAM exceeding $280 billion, with emerging revenue streams from Medicare payment models and risk-adjustment incentives for early diagnosis and comprehensive care management.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Bruch affirmed:

“What sets Isaac Health apart is our focus on providing specialty care across populations and breaking down barriers to access. Unlike many digital health companies, we’re not just a tech platform; we’re a clinic built by and for medical professionals who specialize in brain health and Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders (ADRD). Our team includes neurologists, geriatricians, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, psychotherapists, cognitive therapists, and other dementia care experts who work together to deliver truly comprehensive care. This clinical backbone allows us to offer high-quality, evidence-based support that’s personalized to each patient and caregiver.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future company goals? Bruch concluded:

“We’re aiming to reach all 50 states this year. We’re also on track to covering a population of over 700k with our dementia management program.”
